1 How can I connect a terminal directly to the Host PC?  Mar.8, 2008
To connect a Kingsem terminal directly to the Host PC, you will need a cross-over cable and a dedicated NIC (Network Interface Card). For each terminal you connect to the Host PC, you will need a dedicated NIC card, or you may turn to router or switcher to connect all the terminals.

2 My mouse works but all of the other devices do not function properly. The NCS-2000-XP Console shows the station is operating well.  Mar.8, 2008
This can occur when the LAN cable is unplugged by accident or the router/switch is shut down. In this case, your mouse will appear to be working.
Please check:
- Connection of the LAN cable
- Operating status of network devices such as the router or a switch
- Stability of the power (You can prevent by using UPS.)
 
3 Can I use the terminals on an old dummy hub or Network Device?  Mar.8, 2008
Our product is designed for 100 Mbps switches or routers. It does not support 10Mbps Network devices. This Product is strongly recommended for 100 Base-TX Fast Ethernet Network devices only.

4 How do I improve the performance of my terminal?  Jun.8, 2008
Refer to the below items for an increase in the performance:
- Use a CPU which utilizes Hyper-Threading or Dual Core technologies..
- Install more RAM.
- Purchase a new hard disk drive with faster access speeds (fast rpm).
- Reduce the number of terminals connected to the Host PC by adding more Host PCs for redundancy and load balancing.

5 Can USB storage devices connected to PC be used by the terminal?  Jun.8, 2008
You must change the setting to use individual USB storage devices in the terminal. After opening the NCS-2000-XP, select "Software Settings (local)" ? "Information & Settings" ? "System Settings" and screen same as figure appears. Among the settings on the right of the screen, note the item saying "Prevent access to USB-storage devices at the terminal". Default setting is "Yes". Change the setting to "No" by double clicking this item if a USB storage device is to be used in search after logged on to the terminal.

6 Can I utilize peripherals, like a printer or CD ROM?  Jun.11, 2008
Yes, all users can share the same peripheral devices through your network system.

7 Will multiple users of a single program make my computer work slower? Aug.11, 2008
Most applications, once booted up, will run nearly as fast as with one user including internet communications. Activities that place the most demand on the computer's resources may experience some slowing, but most users will notice little difference in speed or performance. Please check your current Windows Task Manager's Performance for monitoring your CPU computing resource availability. In most cases, you are only using less than 15% of your host PC's CPU computing power. Only in cases of heavy processing applications, (CAD/CAE graphics application or video editing) more memory for your host PC is highly recommended to achieve optimal computing results.
